Just a few of my favorites.
Make attempts to develop multi- functional gear to replace current one-task items.
Throw it away when it dies.
Provide the platoon and squad with small unit logistics vehicles (SULVs) that can follow closely behind the unit during combat operations. Place most of the contents of the Soldier’s Assault Rucksack on these vehicles.
Place some of the Soldier’s basic load of ammunition on these vehicles as well as specialty items (AT- 4s, SMAW- Ds, etc.).
Consider using available HMMWVs, Gators, and other vehicles currently within Task Forces as surrogate SULVs.
Develop robotic vehicles to replace manned SULVs.
Looks like the Team Sergeant (Sanchez) jumped ship and went to fight with the Sky Soldiers. LOL - "Sure, I'll be on your little study team sir." As soon as they get to the combat zone - "Who's in the shit?" Blaaaw!
Very slick presentation though. I would like to see the data on the A Teams that went in to 'Stan in '02.
"Percentage of Bodyweight - 125% Communications NCO - 210%" LOL

I can see the need for a whole new career field - 1000A Battlefield Junk Recovery Specialist (ABN)(HVY)(Fred Sanford)
Successful candidates will have own junk truck with gin poles and winch. Being known as a packrat is a plus.

Some of the weights seemed low. I carried 135lbs on average for a one week FTX in Hawaii where little or no snivel gear was needed, usually just a poncho and liner, one spare set of BDUs, 12 pairs of socks, foot powder, bug juice, 3 MREs, PRC77, spare batteries for the PRC77, PVS7, carton of Camel's, standard LBE, M16A2 and a few other items. No body armor, no camel backs, no live ammo, no demo, no grenades, no knee and elbow pads, etc. I would have thought they would be much heavier with all the new gizmos they carry these days.

Lol,
No wonder, those MWR computer's don't have enough bandwith. Don't know what to say....but when you get CONUS, I'll still give you a copy if you want.
