Yale to Host ‘Black Panther Party’ to Celebrate Black History Month

First Yale hosts a class on "looting and why its OK" and now hosting a black panther celebration, the alumni must be so proud.

For all those born after 2000, the "black panthers" were and are a domestic terrorist organization. I wonder what would happen if Harvard were to "celebrate" the KKK ???

Update: Instead of responding to requests for comment from both Heat Street and Campus Reform, Yale University reached out to Heat Street to say that the Yale Daily News has corrected its story – it appears, at the request of school administration unhappy that the event had been characterized as a “Black Panther Party.”

The “Black Panther Party,” the statement says, is merely a gathering, though still, it seems, a presentation of the controversial activist group’s contribution to black history and its longterm impact on social justice activism.

A statement from the school reads:

“A group of Yale students attended a commemoration of the 50th anniversary to learn about the history of the Black Panther Movement as a political movement during their time in Oakland. They went to the anniversary commemoration because there were many experts and participants who could shed light on the movement gathered in one place. The students will present their findings at an event during Black History Month, which will examine the connections between historic and contemporary social movements.”
The school did not comment on the Black Panthers impact on New Haven.

Yale University students will celebrate Black History Month by cheering the founding of the violent Black Panther Party — with their own “Black Panther Party.”

The shindig, to be held on campus the school’s African-American House (known as Af-Am House), and sponsored by the African American Cultural Center is designed to celebrate the Black Panther organization’s 50th anniversary, and to help students at the school come face-to-face with the history of black activism.

I believe it has already been demonstrated that the inclusive and tolerant left would set fire to the buildings, destroy public property, assault law enforcement and attack any that appeared to have an alternative opinion.

One would hope that even 18-21 year olds would cringe at the hypocrisy.

You would think that they would protest or at least call out faculty and administrators for being so obviously "used" to further an agenda.

Being a useful idiot is no way to begin life as an adult.

Sadly, the indoctrination starts well before college.

The Black Panthers have the same status among the libs as Che.

You're probably right.

Add, Mao, Ho, Fidel...that ought to telegraph where the left would take the country.

Therein lies the key. What is their foundational beliefs before entering college? Many are converted while in college. Many simply rebel against "their parents" beliefs that they feel were "pushed" on them. But, I think the truth is exactly like you said in the above quoted portion of your post. Many believe as their parents believed.

Sadly, the majority of those that look up to them as their leaders have never had any personal interaction with any of them. I have never dealt with any that impressed me in the slightest. Very underwhelming, to be honest. And yes, the blindly worship them in just the same way as quoted.

Black Panther Party

Maybe Forrest Gump will come along and spoil it for them?
