Good stuff.

I shold have listened to my brothers and just ordered a 4lb tub to start, because that's what I'm going to be getting when I reorder anyway.

I just ordered a 4lb tub. Maybe I should have listened to people about this ... just like I should have listened about buying more ammo before the election...

Last night I had a taste for some french fries. Trying to be "healthy" I peeled and sliced up some sweet potatoes, length-wise about 1/4 inch in diameter, drizzled them with some olive oil and a very healthy sprinkling of Serendipity seasoned salt (I have the no MSG version). Baked for 40ish minutes at 450 degrees to crisp 'em up.

I think they were the best fries I've ever had. Crispy outside, soft inside and one hell of a flavor.

Just had to share.

I do not think you can go wrong with the Jess Hall's. We do not get elk in these parts, but the J.H.'s has become a staple with venison. I hope you enjoy it. By the way...order the 4 lb tub, it will save you from having to reorder so soon.

We just got back from Weatherford, TX where we spent Thanksgiving with family. While there, Larry Hagman, a Weatherford native, died. In his obit they mentioned that he used to work for Jess Hall Jr's. oil tool company. Also, in his autobiography (page 189), his admits that Jess was his model for J.R. Ewing in Dallas.

Rest in Peace, Major Nelson!

Pat

p.s. Jess Hall's seasonings are now carried at Walmart in selected Southwest stores.

Yeah, this thread is a little old.. but i just thought about this stuff. Ran out. Then waited to buy more until after I PCS'd. Then forgot. Then remembered, but waited to buy more until after I PCS'd. Then forgot. Then remembered, but waited to buy more until after I PCS'd. Then forgot.

I just now remembered again. And I ordered some.

Don't remember what it tastes like, but I do remember that I loved it when I last ordered it.... in 2012.
