Bo passed on.

Friends,

Some of you may have heard that Mizuho Bobroskie passed away unexpectedly of liver cancer this past weekend. He was a great friend and a greater SF soldier. I'll never forget when I was told to be in formation at the 5th GRP reppo-depot in Nha Trang for SFC Bobroskie to assign details. How surprised was I, there was a short little Okinawan shit with a Polish name giving all us newbies grief.

That day started one of my longest lasting SF friendships. I will cherish my memories of him to MY dying day.

Please, all of you drink a cold one for him tonight. I will never be able to eat a ginger ice cream - sake float again without seeing his leering face.

Rest in Peace, Bo!

Your Friend,
Carl Franquet

Below is the email from Bo's daughter. I removed her email link. If anyone wants it, PM me with bona fides.

Hi,

my name is Lisa Bobroskie, I am the dauther of Mizuho Bobroskie. I wanted to send an email to let you know that my father suddenly passed away on April 6, 2007 at 5:20 PM.

About three weeks ago, my father had a slight fever, and we all thought that it came from tiredness. The weeks before, my father had traveled to Japan and Washington D.C. We thought that if he rested, he would get better. The family doctor had told us that all we should take was tylenol, and he would get better. My father followed instructions, but only got worst. He started having severe stomach aches in the second week, and my mother took him to the emergency. My father and mother believed maybe he had stones in his gallbladder, but unfortunately, the doctors did not find anything and had sent him back home. My father's pain became worst, and my mother took him to the emergency again. That was in the third week when the doctors finally told my mother and father to go to a specialist in oncology, where they found out that my father had liver cancer in its advanced stage. The doctors told them that it was too late for my father to receive any sort of treatment, and it was the best to be concerned about his comfort.

He was hospitalized on April 3rd, and he was able to talk a little bit. His health started deteorating very quickly though, and he was unable to eat/drink. My father's body ached everywhere, and he suffered alot. However in his end, he was surrounded by family and many friends, and the nurses told us that he passed away with no pain. This is a very sudden and shocking event for anyone who knew my father, but I think it was shocking for him the most. My father was someone who was careful about his health.

I still find it difficult to accept my father's death. He was a very healthy man, and I am sure everyone who knew him knows that he is an energetic, upbeat man. I thought to send this message was an appropriate thing to do. If you would like to get in touch with me, please email me at . Thank you.

Sincerely,

Satomi & Lisa Bobroskie
