AD Enlisted to AD Enlisted Interservice Transfer

Here is what I know:

-It is possible to submit the DD 368 while still enlisted
-A Marine in my unit submitted it to become Army WO
-It is most commonly used for enlisted to officer, active to reserve or reserve to active (from what I have read on here and seen)
-My career planner has said that it won't get approved for enlisted to enlisted
-This guy tried and got denied and didn't really want to go into detail about what happened
https://www.shadowspear.com/vb/threa...rm-goal.18953/

Here is what I am trying to find out:

-Does anyone else have experience in doing this and can offer advice? (mainly from active enlisted to active enlisted but any use of enlisted to enlisted will help)
-In order to not receive any negative reprisal for trying to transfer, should I wait and do prior service after I get out?

Final thoughts:
If this is in the wrong place, let me know and I will move it

I recommend that you do not use hearsay and suspicions as a base to make a decision, everyone's situation is different.

Call this number:

Special Forces Recruiting, Fort Bragg, N.C.: (910) 432-1818

Explain your situation to them and they will help you. Without knowing all of the details and policies, I recommend that you attempt SFAS as a Marine and if you pass submit the paperwork to transfer to attend the SFQC.

Yes I just recently got my contact coming from AD Enlisted Navy in Feb2018 but I started this process last April but had to wait 6 months from my EAOS to sign my contract. Look up dodi 1300.04 and it gives guidance on how to start the process. I did all the leg work because no one knew anything about the process.

Then you're already one ahead of your peers. Having to figure out complex issues is standard fare my friend. Those who can't do it spend their time following others around who can.

Thank you for the number. I finally got through and they are sending me a packet with paperwork I need to submit.
