Attitude and Commitment - Mark Holbert

Great piece on NBC's Today this morning which shows SF vet and double-amputee SFC Mark Holbert (formerly 1/3rd SFG) competing in the American Odeyssey Relay Races.

It's all about attitude and commitment.

He is a great example of what it means to be a Warrior and to persevere through adversity. He is living the "can-do, won't-quit, never-give-up" attitude that is expressed by Warriors. Well done.

Mark's strength (and that of his family) is incredible. This piece only captures a fraction of what a great man he is.

Mark is definitely one of the greatest men I know....just don't leave your helmet laying around!

MAJ Mike Erwin has put a lot of effort to this and there is something you all can do. Please look into how they approach it differently. Don't just think of a monetary donation, see if there is a wounded veteran you could help in your area.

It was good to see him in his current capacity. Much praise goes to his Sr. Medic Craig for keeping him and Dave alive. Mark's perseverance is awesome, and I can assure you this isn't the last good thing you hear of him.
