A 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team Sergeant was found guilty of purposely foiling an airborne drop that involved military vehicles.
Sounds like he's in deep Kimchi.

I'm surprised there's no comment on motive.
Perhaps by taking footage and running it on *******, he / they could monetize it???

I hope that Uncle Sam will be garnishing his wages for a long time to come.

They also videotaped the burn-in and one of the Soldiers is recorded laughing; he received a GO Letter of Reprimand for his sense of humor.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

I really would like to know why he did it, though.

My thoughts exactly. Got off way too easy in my opinion. He should do a long time in Leavenworth for destroying that much government property. What a nut job.

In the lead up to Robin Sage, my team RON'd in the woods on the edge of Luzon DZ, iirc, at Mackall. We were exhausted and we had a couple of tough boxes of extra equipment we were training with (so we had more than just our rucks). It was already dark when we got a call over the radio to move away from the DZ x number of clicks because the 82nd was doing a heavy drop that night.
We looked at the tough boxes we'd have to drag through the woods and thought "what are the odds something burns in and just happens to land on us?" and stayed right there and at least got a bit of sleep that night.
(It also crossed our mind that it was the cadre messing with us - though if they had wanted to make sure we got zero sleep that night there were any of a number of other ways to do it.)
