Anonymous Hacktivists Prepare For Strike Against ISIS 'Supporters'

Anonymous Hacktivists Prepare For Strike Against ISIS 'Supporters'

http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasperha...is-supporters/

This is funnier than crap. I wonder what CYBERCOM is thinking about this.

Quote:
Sources within Anonymous told me the campaign will be called Operation NO2ISIS and will target three states suspected of offering support to the Islamic State of Syria and al-Sham (ISIS). Government websites will be blasted with DDoS attacks with Anonymous planning to “unleash the entire legion” upon its enemies.
When you have reporters writting articles about different countries buying oil from ISIS, you think someone or country would take action against ISIS and/or the countries doing business with ISIS.

I'm sure their official stance is, that they condone this type of behavior.

Unofficially, CYBERCOM ordering pizzas and Cheetos to be delivered to Anonymous' HQ ... which is probably someone's mom's basement.

I think you'd be surprised how not true this statement is. At least a few are quite wealthy and world-class intellects.

I like the idea. The first cyber guerrilla group privately funded etc. The question is are the cyber freedom fighters or cyber terrorists.
Estonia is often recognized as having the 1st cyber militia movement.

After getting hit by Russian hackers hard in 2007, Estonian IT professionals self organized around their existing Estonian Defense League framework.

Coincidentally, when NATO set up it's Cyber Centre of Excellence it set up shop in Tallinn, Estonia:

I think what you're getting at Okie is very correct and possible. Military Hackers that the USCYBERCOM have "made" are just that. The hackers that DOJ "finds" and then makes then become "apart of the Collective." in support of US Objections or whatevers are the better hackers. You can teach people IT Security and Computer Network Defense or Computer Network Operations, but real Hacking or Hacktivist are the homegrown guys that do it for fun like Anonymous. So IMO the civillian Coorpiate Hacktivist in theory (IMO) are better than military trained people.
