Role Call

Having served in 11th Group for a fairly significant time, I figure somebody has to start this off.

Anybody out there from 6th? 8th? 46th Company? 11th? 12th?

Sound off...

oda 125 (buck and a quarter) peoria, illinois

moved up to 7th in 80 though i still have ties with friends from long ago....

very sad to see 12th pass away, would have made a fine next active group.

Jerry:

With an AC Army reduced from 785,000 to 480,000, and us struggling to man 5 Groups, I would not count on us enlarging to add another Group anytime soon.

We at SWCS are having to make massive changes in staffing and support structure to graduate a sufficient number of SF soldiers to meet the current and projected force requirements for the foreseeable future.

I wish we had 4 RC SFGs still, though.

Last time I saw our old Battalion Commander, LTC George B., it was '93 or '94 and he was the DCO of 12th SFGA, IIRC.

Worked with 46th Company in 72 - 73. Now that was a fun time had by all. By then renamed to 3d Bn 1st SFG(A), if I remember correctly. Wa TDY in a Company and came back to a Bn. Never really paid much attention to the numbers.
