SFC Dan Fossland
For those who knew and served with Fossy. Here is his obituary. Rest In Peace my brother. Fossy was the Land Nav instructor when I went through Phase One. Then after his SWC tour Fossy was our senior 18E on 761 in C-2-7 with Rick Boucher, just in time for security augmentation and Just Cause.
Daniel Michael Fossland, Sr., age 56, of Virginia and formerly of Fayetteville, NC, died Monday, May 9, 2016 in Virginia. He was born September 19, 1959, in Minneapolis, MN the son of Melvin Conrad and Verneil Margaret (Bell) Fossland. He graduated from Blaine High School, and attended Bemidji State University. Daniel was united in marriage to Coralia Ines Ortiz in 1991 in Dillon, South Carolina.
Daniel retired as a Sgt. First Class from a 20 year service with the United States Army Special Forces. He was very devoted to his country and completed all missions all around the world with high regards. He was currently a manager for North Star Pawn in Virginia. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the VFW and the Elks Club.
