40" Spottail (Red Drum)
Caught and released this guy yesterday off Sunset Beach, NC. We had a cold front come through and the wind was 15-20 from NW, not the most comfortable day.

Outstanding catch. I will be out Columbus day trying to keep the sharks and skates fed while I look for Mr Red.

Thanks to all. I'm lucky to live in an area that offers tremendous opportunity to catch a wide variety of fish. If anyone is visiting the Myrtle Beach area and wants to fish, sent me a PM and I'll do my best to help.

Nothing wrong with catch and release as I do it most of the time but I was wondering why you did it with this fish.

Slot Limits
North Carolina is same as Florida 18-27. South Carolina is 15-23. We put in in NC and fish both SC & NC, so we can only keep one per person between 18-23.
The larger fish are the breeders and these regulations have really improved the fishery. I do wish both states were the same.
