"Self defense of the home" is not the core of the Second Amendment. That woman has no idea what is at the core of the Second Amendment. But she does sound like a female Yankee Harvard lawyer.

It would appear that the police across the county should put their ARs back in the trunk/rack or leave them in the armory, because they are not needed for self-protection or other lawful purposes.

Just ask the cops in St. Louis or around the Washington D.C., area, like her court house.

Exactly what I think! When the police or sheriff's are militarized or have superior weaponry than a militia or civilian population, then I think we are more a police state than one realizes.

This morning 2 county sheriffs announced that they were returning their MRAPS and getting normal tactical SUVs for their departments. Actually that shocked me but yesterday one sherif in another county south of me was arraigned on federal charges. He is still on duty but no weapon and can only do admin duty and not direct tactical opns.
