Does anyone remember the name of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman when Clarence Thomas went through the nomination and confirmation process...

When I left 5th SFG I became a Dep US Marshal for a few years. I had the privilege of working a protective detail for Justice Thomas and had several conversations with him just BS‘ing about every day stuff. He was a hell of a good guy and very down to earth. A lot of people in his shoes have no interest in talking to the Joe Snuffy’s of the world but he’s quite the opposite. He’s an avid car guy and doesn’t pass up an opportunity to talk about his Corvette ZR1.

Plus he's an RVer and overnights at Walmarts. My guess is that he has some good conversations there, too. We also RON at Walmarts. I'd love to run into him.

His memoir "My Grandfarther's Son" was a great read.
