Or had situations when they should have been dead and are alive. My team was protected by the hand of God on several occasions. I was in a machinegun dual where, when it was light at our re-consolidation point, I was looking for the bullet holes in the vehicle and there was not a scratch on the GMV. and I won't even mention the "dragon's breath" that rained down on us about 5 minutes after that machine gun dual.

Rights do not need to come from God IMO, because that would mean that if you are an atheist, then you can't believe in natural rights, which I do not agree with.

A free human being has the right to speak his/her mind and defend themselves in self defense, confront their accusers and be allowed to defend themselves in a society. Even animals are free to speak their minds/howl at the moon when they feel like it and defend themselves against other predators.
