That one was very well done & encapsulates more than just the email issue.

I wonder if Chris Stevens' emails to her, asking for increased security, went to her Spam box?

Just one snippet...

Only 14 pages, worth a read because Eric Nordstrom's emails (as the RSO) have been out there for some time. And after discussing the 4 threat levels - Benghazi being 1 of only 2 facilities that had both top threat level issues while meeting no standards - he goes on...
Quote:
Furthermore, SECCA waiver requirements for buildings solely occupied by
the U.S. government overseas must be approved by the Secretary of State
and cannot be delegated.
Since there is no SECCA waiver on file, the
obvious question for both the Committee and the ARB is if the Secretary of
State did not waive these requirements, who did so by ordering occupancy of
the facilities in Benghazi and Tripoli?
And no classified, discussions of PHYSEC vulnerabilities or mitigating factors, etc, traversed her little private server off the reservation? Even itineraries, which at that level are classified?

I continue to ponder: Which has more throughput, guillotine or gallows?

Spooky!

I was just joking with a friend how Hillary Clinton bears such a striking resemblance to Angela Lansbury's power hungry and evil character Mrs Iselin in Manchurian Candidate.

I don't believe this angle has been touched on, I apologize if so. But this is just a opinion article from FN.com that points out a fact that has been itching a hole through my brain since this ordeal first came out;

Quote:
Mr. President, will your Department of Justice prosecute Clinton for retaining 48 months of classified records on her personal server after she left office, as it did Gen. David Petraeus, who kept 15 months of classified records in a desk drawer in his home after he left office?
full article: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/...ont-know-that/

Of course holding your breath for this will only end with a nap, but I think it serves as a great talking point for Trey Gowdy, or a potential GOP candidate.... or hell Petraeus himself!

You're not alone. As with most previous such kerfuffles, here's my best case scenario:

DoJ: "As you know Senator, in response to your office's communications, our Department has indeed begun an investigation, to be conducted by our own IG in concert with the Department of State's OIG, to determine if any statutes were violated. Also, as you must be aware, it is Department policy not to comment on the status or findings of any ongoing investigation until all the results are in and the report has been finalized. We look forward to working with your office and any such report would certainly be made available to this committee."

That's BEST case; it goes down from there. It's been their default SOP from the start, like a Microsoft reboot or a dog pissin' on a hydrant. They will announce an investigation & then avail themselves of the lockjaw it affords them. End of story.

Yes, should be pretty easy to prove the elements in this case. The issue will be getting DOJ to charge it (unfortunately not likely with this administration). Also unfortunate that this statute is only a misdemeanor.
