Jeeps Prototypes as seen in the Easter Jeep Safari

Kudos to a company that honors their past and takes a new look at the context of their entire body of work*

The Crew Chief and the Mighty FC are my favorites

* To include all the companies that built the JEEP

One of the vintage Jeep Front Cab configurations

I'll bet your referring to the FC and it would be hard to argue. Definitely form following function, the engine is located below and just behind the driver making it a mid engine configuration placing the inline torque beast over front and back tires. The clearances are very good, top speed not so much, visibility great.

I look at the bloated excuses for "SUVs" nowadays and still wonder if there's a market for something retro that's actually affordable by mortals, a bit narrower track, without GPS or Buffy's special bedliner for hauling peat moss from the garden or nanny-state artificial intelligence to simply run it - and that can be worked on in the driveway w/o having to disassemble half the vehicle on the way into replacing a headlamp or changing plugs.

THAT would be one way to honor a body of work.
