Your senior should square you away, you can always introduce yourself to other E's in the hall and ask questions. If you have some time, try different things out. Pack spare batteries for your radio(whicheverone you use), Connectors, handmic, 2055, chow, mags, headlamp (if you choose not to wear it around your neck), a couple of surefire batteries, compass, and survival kit. Hope this helps you in the right direction.

I know that this is an old thread (2007) but I like the subject.
Back in 2005 I bought a Eagle Becker RTO pack that comes with special pockets for radio accesories. And many other outstanding features.
