The KOC

Its been awhile since I've made one of these and can't remember if the 18 foot or 36 foot radiating element connects through the ladder transmission line down to the positive terminal of the radio or if it even matters. Also, in a pinch, is there a sutiable substitute for the ladder line? I'm willing to do some fabrication if needed to mimic ladder line effectively.
Thanks

450 Ohm Feed

Little old, but thought I would drop this in here

there is a chart on this web page that shows the values for making different ohmage twin feed line, depending on your required ohmage, and the size of the wire you will be using to make it. Is a little time consuming, but a very good substitute for windowed ladder line.

I had all this stuff noted down back home, but this was the easiest I could find to give to you. Never messed with it myself, normally use ladder line and a home made RF choke for my dipoles, so buyer beware on this one.
