What the Reaper said and think about this, if I wanted to destroy the American way of life what better method than destruction from within.....
Grant amnesty to tens of millions of illegals.
Reward illegal behavior with mind blowing incentives
Replace the heads of the federal agencies with ultra-left wing liberals and tell them NOT to enforce United States Law.
Tell the world the gates are open.
And in 100 or less years the destruction will be complete without firing a shot.

Nice half full glass thinking but I don't agree. What we are leaving is a problem the size of Jupiter to our children and it's our fault.
It's a complex pattern of leaching the system until it fails completely. Cities under liberal/socialist rule are failing all over this country, cities that should never have been on the brink in the first place.
We are no longer billions in debt but trillions in debt and the current socialists continue to spend like it grows on trees.
Foreign nations are "donating" millions to our liberals/socialists in a bid to keep them in power. You ever think about why? Why would foreign nations "donate" billions to keep liberal/socialists in power?
I always remember Mr. Churchill attempting to inform the world that if we didn't get involved and stop the march of Fascism that soon it would be too late..... and it almost was too late.
If/when America falls (not stumble) when she falls the entire world will also fall. And when that happens I do hope you're prepared for WWIII.
This is the legacy we are leaving to our children and it's not one I'm proud of.......

This is how racist I am......
For the record I would gladly accept every Cuban Refugee to include the entire island of folks. They are trying to escape for the right reasons, freedom.
Cuba, is a hard core communist country and we should do everything we can to turn it around.
Very racist of me huh.....
Funny how we don't use the term Cuban immigrants, they are considered Refugee's.....

I wish I could agree with your point. I don't, however, see anywhere in our history where the Executive branch has done the kind of intentional damage to the separation of powers and the Constitution in general as this tyrant-in-chief has. Lincoln comes close, but this stain is taking deliberate action to usurp the power of the Legislature and consolidate this into the Executive.
I would like to have hope that we could turn this ship around starting with the next election cycle, unfortunately Congress is complicit in this separation of powers coup by POTUS and the democraps are about to have 10 million or more new voters on the gravy train.

From what I'm seeing, the problem is not external, but internal.
Initially, the report I discussed a month or so ago, that 65% of all children in the U.S. are on the government dole, is horrifying. Kids do what they see their parents do. Social programs that were begun with the best of intentions are now some sort of "right". These programs never die.
One of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, I think Charles Carroll, stated, 'Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time..." Stated somewhat differently, you can't have rights without responsibilities. This is not necessarily to state that our people must go to church every weekend, but there must be some personal duty held by every person to the nation that I just am not seeing.
If we are going to continue to have immigration, they need to be people who are coming for the right reasons. I find it interesting that many peoples come here and do very well for themselves, while many "indigenous" families are not multi-generational welfare recipients.

I thought we had a pretty good election results in 14, we gained in the House and took the Senate but we still seem to be held at bay by the dems. Until the folks that control the two houses take charge we are screwed.

Doesn't matter anymore.
Why do you think the GOP gave into the Teleprompter's amnesty?
Because of the power of the "illegal" voters.
And the very reason the liberal/progressive/socialists are pushing the no voter ID so much. Funny I've had to show my ID every time I voted.....
Tell me I'm wrong.

I may be giving in to my own pessimism on this, yet I don't see there being an us (dem/repub) versus them (dem/repub) any more. On paper there are still two sides of the aisle, but when I see the paper that those two sides produce together, I see more of them (politicians and government organizations) and less freedom for us (the voting populace).
I look at the country before 9/11 and it was a completely different place. There was no TSA, no fusion centers, no threat of drone surveillance on American citizens, no knowledge of mass surveillance. There were less SWAT teams, less small police departments with armored vehicles. There was no fear of being considered a terrorist for disagreeing with the President or disliking growing government or disagreeing with amnesty.
How did we get here from there? It wasn't voters legislating ourselves into an Orwellian dystopia.

We had much much more freedom before 9/11, IMO. One of the terrorists goals is to make the target change their way of life, they have succeeded greatly.
Unfortunately, our gov't is giving them an awful lot of help in changing our ways of life...

In another thread I mentioned the Aldus Huxley book "Brave New World"....
...THATS how we got here.
The American public has spent so much time and effort trying to blame Bush and conservatives for turning the USA into an Orwellian republic (even though everything that was done by Bush was secondary to an attack AGAINST the USA)
...we never noticed the fact that the liberals (who started down this road in the 1960's and 1970's) have been busy using Huxley's version of dystopian democracy to keep us distracted and happy.
We didn't "just get here" the left has been pushing us down this road for the last 40 years and Americans are just to blind, stupid, lazy, and apathetic to care.
...they notice, they just don't care.
Look at the 60's; the politically formative years for folks like the Clintons and the 70's, politically formative years for folks like the POTUS and the type of idealogy that is cultivated:
...free love
...if it feels good, do it
...make love not war
...turn on, tune in, drop out
...no nukes
...never trust the man, man
Hell, the 60's and 70's in America could have been based on chapters from Huxleys book.
Here we are 40 years later and those dirty hippies are running the country.
...into the ground
Nor siree... we didn't just "get here", this has been a long drawn out process. The left has been carefully exploiting every single crisis they can and like the White House Chief of Staff once said, "never let a good crisis go to waste"
Welcome to the brave new world my friends.
