Survival bracelet

Whats your take on the Paracord survival bracelets? Do you wear one? And if so what items would you like hidden away in one? I ask because my son wants to make a little business out of making them, but I told him to make his different then the 90 million others out there.

So far he has the 5/8 buckles with the hidden hand cuff key, Kevlar thread and a 5/8 piece of flint fire rod

The business is overrun with competition already, and most competent people can learn to make a decent one by watching a YouTube video.

I received one with a cuff key four years ago.

I recently saw one with a wire saw in it.

I think someone could make a good bit of money wrapping the 550 shell around several different rated strands of Spectra or Kevlar, but that is just me.

What about hiding a broadhead in one? It would have to be small, but maybe something like this:

Or maybe a tiny knife

Airport Security

Metal in it? Don't forget and go to the airport of the court house.

Geez, people are still claiming to do that with guns.

But on a side note - it's one of those trendy things. Trendy things seem to have limited use other than looking cool.

But there is a market for selling trendy things to people who want to look cool.

But if you weave any weapon type item in it you better put a disclaimer - in very big and bold letters - "Do not try and go through any security screen with this on your wrist".

But on a serious note - if I was to get one and wanted something small weaved in it would be a tiny metal match with striker.

A carbon fiber cuff key, fish hook, or blade would be interesting. I like the re-stranded 550 shell idea - kudos!

I think the idea is great but my biggest issues is that a Paracord bracelet, looks like, well, a Paracord bracelet and most people that you'd want not to know what's in there, will know what it is.

Take the same idea, even using the same materials and make non-tactical looking bracelets, watch straps etc. That'll open up a big market that's not really as saturated as the tactical bracelets.
