Beautiful blade! What type of sheath does it, will it have? Will you put it to work?

Unfortunately no sheath with this one. Judging by the only other picture I've seen of a similar model it was kydex. One of the previous owners lost it. I'll be looking to get one made for it and may put it to work.

I'll try to remember to get some dimensions and more pictures later this week.

Per Bill this was an early use of the 2 finger grooves that eventually were incorporated is the Yarborough. As mentioned Bill confirmed he would have sent this out with a sheath, but this one's sheath was lost before I bought it. Note no jimping and hidden tang on this one. Another similar version of this blade type was posted here note slightly different handle features (post 11):

http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/...ead.php?t=7097

This version has heavy thumb ramp jimping and Bill's "stepped" grip vs the one or two finger groove style. Also per "signed knife" this knife may have been part of a batch of 12, 2 prototypes + 10 additional Harsey shop made. I assume this knife is similar enough to have been part of that same group.
