L.L. Bean A Great American Store

I knew I liked L.L. Bean, been buying from them for decades.

Linda Bean Calls Anti-Trump Boycotts 'Un-American,' Form of Bullying

Linda Bean on calls for L.L. Bean boycott: It's bullying

L.L. Bean Board Member and Co-Owner Linda Bean on calls for a boycott of the company because of her support for President-elect Donald Trump and the state of the U.S. economy.

Linda Bean, the granddaughter and co-owner of L.L. Bean, on Thursday said U.S. businesses are under attack and being bullied by anti-Trump groups.

A group, Grabyourwallet.org, called for a boycott of L.L. Bean after Linda Bean, one of 50 family members that own the outdoor apparel maker, contributed $60,000 to a political action committee supporting President-elect Donald Trump. The Federal Election Commission said the donation exceeded the PAC’s individual donor limit of $5,000.

“It’s bullying,” Bean told the FOX Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo. “They want to control how we spend our money, what we buy, where we buy it. That’s wrong, it’s un-American.”

Shortly after her appearance on Fox Business, Trump tweeted a thank you to Linda Bean and urged customers to buy L.L. Bean.

Think I'll have to look a little closer when I get their next catalog.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Nothing but good things to say about L.L. Bean and especially their great customer service. I sense another purchase in the near future.

Its about time someone stood up to the leftists and their bullying of everyone who disagrees with their view.

Much like the word "racist" that has been used against people who think like me, now I'm also called a "fascist."

My father fought the fascists across North Africa, into Italy and then across France and Germany - and it really pisses me off that the word is being used against Americans who love their country and want it to be a beacon of freedom and liberty again.

Thumbs up

Love LL Bean! It has been around a long time, and still has great women's clothing and boots! Makes me want to go buy some of their flannel shirt's and sit around a campfire in the dark, making s'mores.

I try to never be in a hurry to buy stuff. I cruise the big name outdoor companies, L.L. Bean being one of them, on line during slow times.

Their clearance sales pop up and I usually get something from one of them.

Picked up a Windbreaker and fleece cap a couple of weeks ago from L.L. Bean.

I created an account just to show support (Christmas has passed ). I’m also using Brave as a browser in support of Brendan Eich, co-founder of Mozilla, who was forced out after he gave $1000 in support of Prop 8 (pro traditional marriage in CA) which passed with over 52% of the vote (only to be overturned by the Ninth Circus Court, as usual). It’s not my go-to browser, yet, but has promise. It’s also fortunate that I really like Chic-Fil-A’s spicy chicken sandwich!

Come on, Commies! Help me find some more business I didn’t know I’d like.

Pat

That is very true. I have all kinds of LL Bean gear that has see tough situations and is still going strong. Their stuff doesn't wear out. And like a few here, I'll be looking to make another purchase soon.

Yup. And several items offered by other outfits in decades since their establishment are clones following trail that was broken by Mr. Bean.
