SGM Gary "Grape" Gilmore passed I believe last weekend, 3 Mar. He was 80 yrs old. Nice guy and SGM

He was one of Co SGM's in A/3/5 in the mid 80's.

His obit is in the 7 Mar Fayetteville Observer.

He was on my E-5 board and remember him well. Think I drank a few beers with him too.

Rest in peace Sergeant Major.

(Correction on the SGMs name, it's Gilmer, not Gilmore.)

Rest in Peace, SGM Gilmer. Thanks for stepping up.

RIP SGM

It was Company A. His first trip to Bliss for Desert Training and he remarked "Walking in the Desert is Stupid". He kept the Company 2 1/2 ton close at hand.

lolol Pete, yup, sounds like him...

I remember most days back in garrison, he'd send someone out to the shoppette to go get some miller light so he could turn on the beer light around 15-1600...
