The contract that STTEP had with the Nigerian government expired after 3 months and was primarily aimed at training and mentoring the strike force.

Whether this was long enough to fully immerse troops in the training doctrine and make it part of their SOP is up for debate and only time would tell. The end of the contract also coincided with the Nigerian presidential elections and as mentioned by Guy would conceivably made things awkward if it was renewed at the time of a possible change of government.
