Yntema Club

The old timers used to drinking at the Annexes were a tad impressed with the Yntema Club when it first opened. Go Go dancers, cold beer and chicken gizzards for lunch.

Now it's a Bingo Joint.

Of course they had to stop this horrible tradition--my God, people, this was nothing more than government-sanctioned, publicly-encouraged, mass sexual assault on those poor soldiers!

The entertainment on stage at the Yntema was probably never going to get a job offer from Hugh Heffner, but as a single soldier living just across the street in the barracks...
...more than sufficient

Now - getting kissed on the cheek by a drunken party-girl is apparently all it takes to completely undermine good order and discipline.

Only for lower ranking scum.

If it was a general he could invite them into his ride and take them back to his place for a little R & R.

Yep. And that is exactly how many we had, at a time.

Ah, you young guys.

How about the Puerto Riccan Knife and Gun Club on Yadkin Road right before you go off post (late 70's). Turned that into a Class 6 store for many a year.

Gone now because of I-295.

That whole subdivision of O Quarters at the corner of Reilly and Yadkin is gone also.

Bahahaha...I remember somethings I can never forget and others I never will forget ... I guess that's the price you pay, definitely part of the training.

I'm sure the powers that be on this one are so very proud of their accomplishment Tom that's exactly right.

Spent many an afternoon there when nothing was going on. Kinda' back out of the way from casual observation.

Went there for lunch one Friday afternoon and it was getting close to 1300. The SGM looked around and said "Hell, I got all the Team Sergeants here - we'll just have formation here." And we did.

First post fail, Moshers.

Not in the right place and you didn't follow the board instruction.

Next post had better be in the right place.

And fill out your profile so we know who we're talking to.
