I said weeks ago that the mechanism of action for HCQ indicates prophylactic/therapeutic efficacy. Molecular Biology rules! Those f'n dumbasses that make policy can't even begin to comprehend the underlying science! I am so damn tired of arguing with scientifically ignorant MDs about shit like this I could just scream!

I am devolving into a rant so I'll just stop. Well just one more thing.

I will be acquiring clinical data over the next few months and when the dumbasses come back asking How? [and they will] I'm just gonna hand 'em a number and tell 'em to get in line.

I saw a map that showed that where Malaria was, Wuhan Virus wasn't. I immediately bought quinine caps and tonic water. Can't know if it had any effect, but I've had them in the Army and survived so why not? (BTW, the claims that quinine is good for leg cramps is absolutely correct! Every time I took them I got leg cramps, so there's that.)

Has anyone heard anything further on that women in Arizona [?] who probably murdered her husband with a dose of fish tank cleaner? A big story when it was useful for Trump and HCQ-bashing, but pretty much ignored since.

Mildly interested in that as well. The cocktail that I first recall "bursting" onto the public dialogue (done by a practicing clinician, not a political lab coat) was the Hcq, Azithromicin, and Zinc Sulfate.

Badger, the Azithromycin is used to treat any "opportunistic" bacterial infections that might have occurred along with the viral infection. I do have an article, from The Gateway Pundit about a Texas nursing home that handled the Who-Flung-Poo virus with that particular "cocktail" and had excellent success. The cost of this cocktail is @ $25.00 compared to the NIH antiviral costing @ $1500/dose Drug was developed for the Ebola virus at HIH/Allergy & Infectious disease Division in Bethesda MD.

No, but since our moronic, non-descript, Republican Governor keeps caving and closing down a state with only 2 1/2 large metro area (with many retirees), my guess is that the courts are closed as well.

Just spit-balling here... but I would suggest that more Wuhan-Rona deaths gets you more State and Fed dollars so why would a hospital claim anything else?

Spit ball? I'll bet you were a terror in school with little wads of paper & a field-stripped pen. Anecdotal from a local county health person. They were told by state to revise COD for the one death - even after being recounted over a couple paras in local rag where doctor made clear that there were several underlying causes but positive test result = more bak sheesh Sahib. Same with some other admissions, regardless of pri or secondary Dx. Positive test is a corona hospitalization. It happen$ for real.
