Scout scope on a M1 Garand

My eyes are older and I just plain prefer optics now. I put this Vortex Scout scope on my wife's M1 Carbine last year which my son used to deer hunt. Afterward, a red dot went on the Carbine and the scope was sitting in the safe. The scope wasn't really necessary on the carbine but it did make a more precise shot possible.
Then I had the thought that the garand could really benefit from the scope as I do shoot it at 200y.

So the railed handguard from Fulton Armory was added. Now it just needs to be tested and zeroed this weekend.

Let me guess, the pistol is .45 1911 ?

Seems no elevation left for cowitnessing. So KD zero only?

That deployment was in 04'. Standard weight barrel National Match. Used the same rifle at the All Army Matches at Ft Benning in 06' without the EoTech/mount. Shot it with the irons out to 1000 yds. Don't remember if the sights were cowitnessed. Had two pistols that rotation, M9 and M1911A1. Course also had a M79

Pulled lots of guns out of depot then. Crane refurnished pallets of M79s in 2014. Last year I was trying repair a broken stock on one belonging to a SEAL team. Haven't seen this trip in Astan.

Most weapons that are no longer in the US military inventory are still in the SF inventory........
