Heading to meps . One thing on my mind

Im 34 signing an 11x contract. Im hoping while in the military i can get a shot at SFAS only thing is my recruiter says i will be too old for SF and its rare people get a shot at my age (or age waiver). Im asking real SF people what chance do i have to go to SFAS at

age 35,36 or so on ??

Thanks again for your time

I have seen older go but the course is not for old guys it is a young mature mans game. Being fit and proper mind set is key....

Yes I was an instructor from 2013-2016 and yes their were a lot of older students from various backgrounds and many did well.....I have seen men in their 40s come through and start out well.....most of these guys depending on the damage and bad habits they built over their lives start breaking but I have seen them make it also

Stay healthy I was 32 when I went and I did fine stay healthy and put your ego in check a good idea and solid tactics are good no matter who says it....we need the maturity in the force today more than ever

The major thing today is we are smarter on physical performance and better understand the expectations and limits.....the course is about endurance and mental/emotional resiliency.....they will start the course by testing your physical readiness and will require you to meet time standards...

I believe a 40 year old went thru successfully. Depends upon the individual.
I was in the best shape of my life in my late 30's....
