Or to post silly questions here in the first 15 minutes on the site, without reading any of the stickies, yet people do it anyway.

FS, interesting suggestion.

I've been wondering about the copyright notices on articles posted. Many news sites have even explicitly listed that no redistribution is allowed. Problemos?

One single copyright violation from a stolen graphic cost a small business that was a client of my graphic artist $25,000 and put them out of business.

It would be great if some obnoxious thief like that website violates one of my copyrights by stealing a picture or video from my website. Injection molding machine is still needed.

So post lots of great video here. All with a specific professionalsoldiers.com copyright notice.

PS: What some discussion forums have started doing (which seems just as wrong) is to claim copyright over anything posted there by any member. According to vBulletin, even though the blanket copyright hasn't always held up in court precedents, it's unclear enough whether the person who posted a picture they took, then re-uses their picture on their website, could then be sued for copyright infringement for using their own picture.

Nice suggestion. Now find me a hungry internet copyright attorney and I'll be more than happy to follow-up.

BTW big-boys was sent an email from me informing them this video was taken from this website illegally, 24 hours after they posted it.

Did you ask if they can identify who posted it?

I am sure that they do not want troublesome members any more than we do.

big-boys.com is in the internet 1000 club (#345 to be exact). Many porn websites are in the top internet site rankings.

Needless to say they are a huge internet presence. After viewing their material it seems they make a living “using” other’s videos and pictures, and now one of our member’s videos. I’m sure their money is made through advertising and the sheer number of visitors on their website. I’m also sure they are receiving millions of hits a day in order to rank #345 on the internet.

True internet bottom feeders.

CoLawman is a "real" law enforcement officer, which clearly delineates him from the term "general public".

Could this in anyway be construed as a violation of the DCMA? I've read the DCMA a few times but since IANAL it's greek to me.

TS: If you need any help tracking/tracing the offender just send me a PM as I currently work as a Software Engineer and know a thing or 2 about tracking crackers/idiots.
