Guilty pleasures in cooking TV
In no particular order:
A Chef's Life- PBS
Extra Virgin- Cooking Channel
Barefoot Contessa- Food Channel
Chef's Table- Netflix
Any of Nigella's or Giada's shows (except the stupid competitions), only partly for the eye candy.
What's yours?

We only have Netflix and Amazon so I don't know the dates that these shows were on, but right now we're watching Guy's Grocery Games. It's fun and really gets us thinking "outside the box" with regards to being creative with odd ball stuff like survival rations.
Cooked, with Michael Pollan was very interesting and informative.
(TS is probably rolling in on a strafing mission right now so "Papa Serria Mike, out"! )

Chef's Table- Netflix That's good foodie TV, the rest you can throw into the crapper. Well, maybe 'cept Giada, eye candy it is!

Was a huge fan of the original Iron Chef, not so much the American version. Liked Chef's Table, but there were only 4 episodes, right? I currently watch BBQ Pitmasters and the various spin-offs of that show, Hell's Kitchen, and MasterChef on a regular basis. Sometimes end up watching some other shows the wife and kids like, such as Chopped and Cupcake Wars.

Agreed..
I like Alton Brown's Good Eats,, He's a goof,, but he does more to educate than the others.. Jamie Oliver is another goof that is worth watching..
Always on the list: Nigella, Giada, Ree Drummond, and don't forget Sandra Lee.
The cooking channels are like the MSM,, They have 3-4 channels @ 24/7 and they HAVE TO fill the slots with something..
They go out and hire stand-up comics and the teleprompter make them COOKING CELEBRITIES..
When all else fails Guy's 3D road, if only for the opportunity to see small family run DIVES..

Its not really a "cooking" show per se, but a lot of the show is about eating. Anthony Bordain - Parts Unknown.

To name a few, A Chef's Life, Pioneer Woman, Chopped and any of Giada's shows. Loved her special series when she was cooking in Italy.
