Very diverse there is room at the conservative table for everyone regardless of gender or ethnic background. The powers to be need to market that fact to the masses.

Only problem with Dana is that she is "disinterested in men" shall we say....

Well, she's been married to the same guy (Chris Loesch) since 2000, so that may be the reason for the "disinterest."

The title is "25 Most Loved Conservatives in America", NOT "The 25 Conservatives You Would Most Like to Love."

Agree on the diversity of the list, that was one of the first things that struck me.

Can't possibly be any diversity since all conservatives are racists and are in the middle of conducting a war on women.

MOO, when looking at a cohort of the same political ideology, diversity should also be measured by the range of POVs among its membership over a broad range of political, social, and cultural issues.

IMO, such a measurement of diversity would send a better message of inclusiveness to members of various demographic groups who might otherwise dismiss individuals like Rice and Thomas and it would help to bypass the Lernaean hydra of contemporary American -- the politics of personal identity.

YMMV.

This would be the most-hated list if it was the result of a Dem dumbographic that had the input. (The Dems will redefine financial back-blast if Scott Walker takes a stab at national office.)

(Still, no kidding; thanks for the Megyn Kelly pic.)

Sig, sometimes you post stuff that goes over the heads of just about everyone here. Sometimes I have to read what you wrote a couple of times to get it.

In this case I just don't get it.

To me the list did measure the range of POVs of those voted on.

John and Daughter got ranked where they were because of their points of view.

This was also a closed vote - only those that were sent the list got to vote.

If it was open the Ron-bots would have spammed it and he would be most loved with everyone else at the bottom.

I should have quoted cbtengr's post, specifically the comment about "marketing" and added the following links.

http://www.people-press.org/quiz/political-typology/

What I have in mind is to "market" American conservationism in such a way that Americans who have had their fill of leftist policies and polarizing rhetoric can readily see the ideological range of the American political right.

To me, a "score card" approach may enable conservatives to avoid racial and gender politics because, as a nation, we're not where we need to be to have a discussion about race or gender that doesn't quickly degenerate into finger pointing, scapegoating, and brawling.
