Happy thoughts because I'm flying to St. Louis tomorrow to see my daughter and grandson who I haven't seen in over a year, and my son who I haven't seen in over 2 years.

Watching C-SPAN2 a few moments ago...listening to smarmy Chucky Schumer...

...well, I was doing the dishes and actually couldn’t hear a fucking word...

...but the anguish in Chucky’s facial expressions and gestures by Chucky...made that one of the finest Chucky speeches I’ve never heard. Suck it Chucky !

There are some serious Twitterites out there who are now trolling all their Twitterite colleagues by having held onto their earlier Tweetybird noises claiming that if Judge Amy became Justice Amy they would "burn the whole f'n thing down" or "We're shuttin' this country down if Trump tries to..."

Man, I'm glad I've got all that extra ASL from the Covid thing, I'd forgotten all about the country shutting down, jeebers!

And, in other (Not Justice Amy) news, the SCOTUS (even with remotely-controlled Roberts) heard the appeal from the Whining Wailing & Gnashing Dems in Wisconsin (this is NOT a clogging or polka ensemble) who wanted the extra 6 days & no signatures to count mail-in ballots. SCOTUS said, by 5-3, you are a NO-GO at this station.*

It's a nice round 30° here & the pissant excuse for snow cover is gone. Perhaps some enhanced hot chocolate would be in order...



* Technically they did not strictly create a ruling; they let the lower appellate court decision stand.

2d Snow
Woke up to more white stuff this AM and decided to get the snow fence put up before we had a really big snow. I am sure we are bound to get an Indian Summer (can I still use that term) before it really gets bad but if we don't then I will be glad I put it up. 30 degrees but no wind, shorts and sandals weather for my Badger friends.
