No early voting in PA. I figure to pack a few snacks in case the turn out is huge.

Same here. It used to take 5 minutes; now it takes about 10 if there's any kind of line. Ya know, trust but verify; because that pesky Voter ID thing was eventually upheld.

Early Voting completed...
29 minutes from line-up to exit. Four step process, line-up for entry, ballot issue, ballot completion, ballot scanning. Approximately 87 people in the queue when I arrived.
I say "line up for entry" on purpose since this state does not require ID to vote, just answer a couple easy questions.

PRM... Peoples Republic of Maryland..
One of the ballot measures was to allow "Same-Day Registration and Voting at the Precinct Polling Place on Election Day" . No risk of voter fraud there right??.....
This is OF COURSE reserved only for those "qualified Individuals"..
Well, who exactly IS a "qualified Individual"? you may ask. Well, let's consult the statute..
To register to vote, you must be:
A U.S. citizen;
A Maryland resident; and
At least 16 years old*.
OK, so then, how does the person verify that I fit one of these criteria?
federal law (not the state) requires that you provide on your voter registration application a Maryland driver’s license number or MVA ID Card number or, if you do not have a Maryland driver’s license or MVA ID Card, the last four digits of your social security number
BUT
alternatively you can simply "affirm, under penalty of perjury, that you do not have a Maryland driver’s license, MVA ID Card, or social security number"...
Because a person committing voter fraud is going to be concerned with the whole perjury charge....

Probably not what Jefferson had in mind when he thought of "well-informed electorate" being sufficient to govern themselves.

The exact conversation I had with the gentleman ahead of me in line (and anyone else within earshot).

Mailed my ballot today.
As a responsible citizen it took some time to read and evaluate all the proposals but at least I did it from the comfort of home before an afternoon motorcycle ride

I'm in Texas, too. It was a long wait, but my straight party vote took the same amount of time as yours did. I think Texans are pretty motivated to vote this year.
Not sure which way you voted, but this is still funny.

I saw a car with TX plates here in NM with a BETO bumper sticker and one on their back window. Someone had put one of those stickers next to his one on the bumper. I do not think he knows it yet. Had to speed up and take a double take. Was laughing my ass off as I passed him.

There are 5 "BETO" signs on front lawns on my street; 7 with CRUZ" signs. I don't advertise (or to paraphrase the Godfather, "Never tell anyone outside the family what you are thinking....")
My conservative dog likes to pee on BETO signs.....
