This looks like it was built with ya'll in mind, although I wince at what that might look like on the ground

I had a friend who was the German liaison officer at Fort Benning and later commandant of the Airborne School at Altenstadt. He was a big fan of the Wiesel.

Like any weapons system, I suppose it depends on how you employ it.

As an OC at JRTC, I watched the Germans bring them in and run the dog-snot out of them. They were great for scouting missions and kept the '09 guys off-balance.

Really effective tool when employed properly.

Had to wipe some fluids off the screen JJ

I noticed they reached back to their half track design from WWII with some of the lines, good stuff.

So we had our own Wiesel, back in WWII with the 10th MT Division and the 1st Special Forces, the M 29 w/ some variations. Turns out it worked very well in rough terrain especially snow. It wasn't armed like this new version, more of a transporter of heavier weapon systems, skijoring, and the like.

Last image: Ft. Ord 1944...it was used to some degree in the Pacific ( it was amphibious).
