State to state migration
http://www.syracuse.com/state/index...._of_state.html
Interesting pattern. May not be surprising to some.
There have been admonition on this board to leave certain states
Why Vermont though

Moved here with the family 2.5 years ago and love it (with the exception of some liquor laws) - I'll have a beer waiting for ya and explain how to navigate the ABC (alcohol beverage control) laws!
ETA: The more we have move in, the easier it will be to overthrow the Mormon Caliphate.

Sound idea. From personal experience the Mormons make very decent neighbors and coworker.
My geography may be skewed but plenty of flat lands for long range and ELR in Utah no?

I think you'd have better luck moving the wailing wall.

I've got no problem with Mormons. All their church/family owned farmland between me and Idaho Falls make a convenient buffer/barrier that will never end up being developed in my lifetime. As for the rest of the surrounding country I'm bracketed in with mountains, rivers and a huge reservoir.

I have no problem with Mormons either - good neighbors and very service oriented. I could just do without the influence their faith has on the laws regulating my acquisition and consumption of good booze.

My biggest issue is the damn liberals fleeing their states because they "f"ed it up so bad they couldn't survive there anymore and the first thing they do when they move in is try to inject their politics and make their new home into a reflection of the shithole they just left. I wouldn't mind seeing the adoption of policies similar to Switzerland's where transplants are not enfranchised until they've proven they can assimilate into the local community with shared values and a respect for the local culture.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

How likely do you see that happening for US citizens fleeing from one state to another?

States can determine their own voting rules. I think that new arrivals should not be allowed to vote in local or state elections for at least 2 congressional election cycles.

Come on Doc; you're not thinking big here! I'm waiting for the Zombie Apocalypse to kick off. (Trust me - the Libs get more likely to trigger it every day.) Once that starts, we can seal the borders and screen the refugees using any criterion imaginable. Think quarantine; it works for disease, it ought to work for Libs too!

We are experiencing a significant growth in population here in GA. Those moving in, mostly exiles from California, are trying to remake this state into the socialist shithole they just left.

Wow...I have no idea where I would like to "migrate" if I decide to leave. I have no ties in Marylifornia, I am not originally from here. Maybe I will buy some land in the mountains of NC and build a cabin.....man, I feel like an orphan; no place to call home.....
