Some Copy/Pasta From The Innerwebs
Well when it comes to things the government should regulate light bulbs, shower heads, & washing machines being dictated from Washington, D.C. is far beyond the pale of anything imagined by those who signed the Constitution.
Natural rights. How do they work? They've existed since the dawn of man, and were expressly recognized at the founding of America. While it's self evident to some, there are a lot of people who espouse nonsense about rights only existing when others agree to have them. We have a rough row to hoe on here.
I have wrestled with trying to educate others in much of the ways of truly basic freedom as we are discussing here for years. As it has been said, the Constitution enumerates the truly free conditions of Man in the Bill of Rights. Government education has done irreparable harm to the capacity of many to think critically. The overwhelming majority seem to look to men in black robes or corrupt legislative bodies and bureaucrats to codify every freedom they seek to be sure that it exists. For too long have we accepted the trespass upon our most basic and fundamental rights by the political class. So much so, that we as a People are a shell of the Enlightened who founded this great nation.
Free from me. Free from you. There are many who cannot grasp the simplicity of that concept. We are all born free. Free to congregate. Free to worship. Free of any and all measures to protect our land and liberty from tyranny near or afar as it threatens us. To be safe in our person and papers. No man has claim over the life of another. That none shall suffer the burdens of bondage in service to another. Looking back through the prism of history we know this was one of the tragic flaws the founders were forced to comprise upon. No longer.
The greatest threat to Man is the overreach of Government. That the inept would seek to demand their own desires codified into law as a measure to please their own inner tyrant. From Prohibition to the War on Drugs and the War on Terror what FREEDOM has Government given us BACK! When emotions run strongest it is the duty of Mankind to stand firm, resolute, and immovable in regards to our most basic freedom. Yet our duty to this has fallen short and our Government has time and again set an agenda for which benefits those suckling at the teat of CRONY CAPITALISM! They bow to a mob, and we pay for it with our TAXES!
Some call those willing to speak truth to power patriots in this country. I say we are ordained as FREE MEN to remind the political class of their place. If it calls for their blood, then so be it. We demonstrate with the force of arms to show our teeth like a cornered animal. It is time to take the fight to them. We deserve a better Government. The machine of American Governance is decayed, rusted out and in need of an overhaul. It is no longer acceptable to replace a broken cog every 2 or 4 years. We must return not only our Government TO the people, but we must also return dignity to our neighbor, and allow them to think for themselves. To remember what it is to BE truly free.
Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state an intolerable one: for when we suffer, or are exposed to the same miseries BY A GOVERNMENT, which we might expect in a country WITHOUT GOVERNMENT, our calamity is heightened by reflecting that we furnish the means by which we suffer. Government, like dress, is the badge of lost innocence; the palaces of kings are built upon the ruins of the bowers of paradise. For were the impulses of conscience clear, uniform and irresistibly obeyed, man would need no other lawgiver; but that not being the case, he finds it necessary to surrender up a part of his property to furnish means for the protection of the rest; and this he is induced to do by the same prudence which in every other case advises him, out of two evils to choose the least.

If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."
