B-52 site

Good Lord, I found a picture of one of my 1967 teammates from A-424/411. He is in one of the bar scenes in 1970. He retired as a CSM, bought a bar and came down with cancer. His last SFA reunion was 1992, he was 50. RIP Fred Kirtchen aka Bubble Gut.

I have a book in my library that I purchased back in 1990 entitled "Special Forces at War" By Shelby L. Statnon (Howell Press/ISBN 0-943231-28-0). It is basically a illustrated history about SF in SEA from 1957-1975. It is a total wealth of information with pictures of just about every A-Camp, Blackjack Ops, MSFC's, Airboat OPs, and Project Delta in Vietnam. Also has a section on Project Phoenix too. If you can find a copy and get it cheap than get it. You won't regret it. I found a used copy on Bookfinder.com for $1,399.0 which is extremely high considering I recieved mine as a Christmas gift back then and it was only $90.00.
