If Scotland goes is Wales next?
Scottish referendum: What happens to Wales and Britishness?
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-29170783
It's an audio story so you have to listen to the bigger part of it.
"In less than a week, Scottish voters will decide whether or not they want to break away from the rest of the UK and form an independent country.
Opinion polls suggest the Yes campaign has seen an increase in support in the last few weeks.
BBC Radio Wales has been looking at how a Yes or a No vote might affect people in Wales.
Felicity Evans wonders what next week's result might mean for the notion of Britishness and Wales' place within that identity...."
So could Wales decide to go the same way? British Regiments take a bigger hit?

Scotland and Wales combined makes up 13% of UK population, and Wales 5% of it. However, I imagine a change such as this, at an operational level, will happen gradually.
The real hit will be the 10.4% loss of GDP. That's another $4b lost on an already shrinking military budget. And I can't see a new nation wanting to prioritize national defense spending.

Who knew you could skip all of that fighting, and just have a referendum?
The real problem is that if Scotland leaves, Great Britain loses a population based seat that they only marginally hold currently within the EU administration. They would have to form a coalition with other states and share power.
Be mindful of second and third order effects. Our allies losing power will not help us in the long run.

One of the primary issues with the youngsters/youth today that want to break away from England is that the system today is not socialist enough.
Not exactly a 'revolution' in the terms we'd expect.

According to http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wa...ndence-7007185 the answer is a clear no, but I have no idea how credible this source is.
It's interesting to think about what will happen to the UK military if the seccesion goes through. The Scottish people have been an important part of the UK army tradition for 500 years.
The overall plan is known, I'm interested in the execution of this. See page 232 if you're interested in the overview.
