In about 20 years, half the population will live in eight states

Here's an interesting article from the from the Washington Compost that stirs the coals on a number of topics such as Racial Divide, the Electoral College, Secession and Civil War.

The comments following the piece are interesting, a lot of haters out there. I am all broke up about the hysterics of all this. Let's all hope the Electoral College is around for a long long time.

This nation is not a democracy, it is a constitutional republic.
Why is this so difficult for many to understand?

That pesky Constitution and true believers clinging to their guns and religion just won't get out of the way!
Why don't they just roll over and yield to their self-appointed masters?

Yep the Looney left keeps showing their asses the beauty is it isn't a Goebbelsesque strategy it's real hence the walk away movement. The left is as I have said a loose federation of self interest groups each ignoring the others insanity. I really the African American awakening going on with the get off the Democratic plantation movements.......I think it will be a long time before leftist as progressive as Obama was gets near the Presidency again. Obama didn't do shit his first term except be an African American his real radical shit blossomed on his second term and IMO many Dems are leary for another like him especially the way the Looney left has given voice to the irrational leftist colleges.

I remember thinking that the reason the liberal T.V. showed the actual voters and the electoral college results are in attempts to get the public on board with eliminating the electoral college. What's also of note that the term democracy has been used officially consistently since the early 20th century around the time of expeditionary wars were becoming a normal part of being in the USMC following the industrial revolution and central banking, Wall Street etc....the term is used as an excuse to go to other countries and in order to get populace support we bring democracy to countries who "suffer under tyranny". The word has been over used and abused by politicians and has since the early 20th found it's way into the average Americans belief of what our system is....the public has been conditioned to believe democracy is free choice hell the military uses it in every other speech of the why we are fighting. You got to hand it to leftists they know exactly what getting Americans on board with democracy means it is actually diabolical to push to eliminate the electoral college.

Check out their doctrine & vision; they'll make it very clear to you. These despots are well-funded & well-organized.

B52,
Just looking at the sign, it doesn't rhyme. Is it stuck to the outside of a garbage bin?
Maybe someone just didn't make it in. Possibly someone needs the fare to make it far away from...here, or there.

Unsurprising given the forced two-party reality of the US and how those parties are working to accelerate their separation (and with that the division of the population)

It's doesn't have to rhyme, lol, it's their menu. Imagine it in your face with their spit on your chin as they scream it at the top of their lungs.

A 501 (c) (3 ) , I'll bet Lois Lerner handled that one personally. We have met the enemy and it ain't us it's these assholes.

"Imagine it in your face with their spit on your chin as they scream it at the top of their lungs".

Thought about this statement for a while, I can't visualize myself in the position described. I do still find humor with the poster shown, it looks like any other statement made by individuals who make excuses for their failures.

That poster is essentially a recruitment poster for the left. And, recruitment happens to be up for those assholes.

The DSA web page details the agenda for the largest socialist organization in the nation. It appears ambitious.

When you consider the definition set forth below you can see why the party (the State) is paramount for the leftist Dems. They all stick to the script...how else will the State succeed ? The State is their “religion.” The State will cure all ills. In contrast, the right appears to be made up of essentially a bunch of individuals who for the most part would rather be left alone.

I think of socialism as communism-lite. Unfortunately, the socialist cancer appears to be picking up a bit of steam here.

Merriam-Webster definition of socialism:

1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

Thanks for including the "you can look it up" meaning.

This is where Emperor for Life Wannabe got his retort "You didn't build that." It wasn't a quip; it's part & parcel of the thinking.

Actually communism is socialism that didn’t work and had to become “the dictatorship of the proletariat”. Basically, we cant live together sharing so we will force it on you. This enforcement is called “the workers paradise”. Live it, love it!

And, those tolerant Marxists are more than willing to either re-educate (torture / imprison) or murder those who might think about standing in the way of that lovely “worker’s paradise.”
