I had the pleasure of working with him in 19th SFG before he retired. He posted a picture on Facebook of the ceremony to be swore in as mayor. In true SF fashion, he had a pistol holstered on his hip, a ball cap on his head and his hand on a bible that was held by his relative who was just promoted to SGT, as he stood in front of the judge who was conducting the ceremony. Small town in New Mexico. Good man.
