The press

The press was removed as a contested lift in weightlifting after the 1972 Olympics.
It became too hard to judge when the form went from strict to a dynamic movement with ridiculous amounts of layback.

It's still a great exercise and a surpreme measure of real strength as it requires balance and does not tolerate any deficiencies.
Crossfit, strongman, and strengthlifting are starting to bring it back.

The clip shows a young athlete pressing 405lbs at a bodyweight of 242lbs.
It's a red light lift in my opinion, and done out of a rack rather than from the floor, but it's still an amazing display of strength nonetheless.
