San Francisco bans smoking in rented space but...(this belongs in Comedy Zone)
We are truly going down the rabbit hole or as the toilet swirls!
San Francisco bans smoking inside apartments; pot smoking OK[QUOTE]
Quote:
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — City officials in San Francisco have banned all tobacco smoking inside apartments, citing concerns about secondhand smoke. But lighting up a joint inside? That’s still allowed.
The Board of Supervisors voted 10-1 Tuesday to approve the ordinance making San Francisco the largest city in the country to ban tobacco smoking inside apartments, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
The original proposal sought to ban residents from smoking marijuana in their apartments, but supervisors voted to exclude marijuana after cannabis activists said the law would take away their only legal place to smoke. It’s illegal under state law to smoke cannabis in public places.
“Unlike tobacco smokers who could still leave their apartments to step out to the curb or smoke in other permitted outdoor smoking areas, cannabis users would have no such legal alternatives,” said Supervisor Rafael Mandelman, who wrote the amendment to exempt cannabis.
San Francisco now joins 63 California cities and counties with such a ban.
Those against the ban argued that it infringed on their rights inside their homes. Supporters said it’s important to protect the health of nonsmokers — particularly low-income residents who live in dense apartment buildings.
Cigarette smoking kills more than 480,000 people per year in the United States, including more than 41,000 deaths caused by exposure to secondhand smoke, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Department of Public Health will be responsible for enforcing the new law. Under the ordinance, the department must first try to educate violators and help smokers quit. Repeat offenders could be fined $1,000 a day but can not be evicted for a smoking violation.
The ordinance must pass a second vote of the board next week and the mayor must sign it. Once that happens, the new law would go into effect 30 days later

We better hold the President accountable for all those deaths!

Tobacco smokers are being profiled and discriminated against - those dope smokers need to check their hippy privilege
Beyond that - it is what california residents have spent a lifetime striving for - peace love and midnight basketball and all that jazz - quit complaining and do what Lord Newsom tells you to do or else - you've got the state that youve asked for - now, go outside to smoke your Marlboro's and when you're done -EAT YOUR PEAS
Once they oppress those stupid cigarette smokers they should go after all those broke-ass losers that eat Nissin brand Top Ramen and generic peanut butter...
...fuck those people

If smoking is responsible for the deaths of 480,000 people a year how can the same not be said for pot? I smoked for 35 years (quit 11 years ago) never got arrested for smoking tobacco nor did I harm anyone in a tobacco induced state. Should I happen to require a second by-pass I pray that my surgeon is not a pot head. I know the stats are a bit dated but a joint is a joint, in fact todays pot is not your fathers ditch weed.

Automobile accidents account for 38,000 fatalities each year - and THAT shit is done outside where all the cigarette smoke is happening - so we need to get those damn cars indoors so the cigarette smoke will quit causing accidents.
and besides - when everyone is indoors getting high as fuck - who cares if there is a Pinto in your kitchen?

I'd go for the Cheech and Chong 70's van with the lovely shag carpeting in my kitchen....it's a perfect solution to stay indoors with a dooby, a Pall Mall and incense to camouflage the odor of cigarettes; hey I'm all for saving lives.....Now put that damn BDSM mask back on....Lol....

First and foremost - I dont wear one of those masks anymore - they dont protect you from anything - total waste of time and resources...
More importantly:
A 1961 P-10 Step-van is NOT going to fit in your house.
A '72 Pinto will fit. A '75 Chevrolet Vega will fit.
A 1978 Chevy G-Series Van is NOT going to fit in your house
A Smart Car, Fiat, Peugeot - you could get any one of those shitty little hippy cars inside of your house so you could sit safely in the car while getting wasted.
What you are NOT going to get into your house is the Fiberweed Van, the Ice Cream Truck, or the 1978 Bouncy Van.
IF
you live in a house big enough to properly accommodate the Fiberweed van - well, you are probably a democrat politician and laws dont apply to you anyway.
Toke up America - its a brave new world.

Bahahahahaha......I could only fit a damn Smart Car in my kitchen, maybe a Prius, the horror that would mean I'm a pukey vegan with 20 piercings, pink or purple hair, shaved eyebrows, Birkenstocks and tons of tattoos (ha, I only have one). Okay, I'll settle for a Lava Lamp, beads and a Cheech and Chong Movie. The brave new world sucks....
I have to wear a stupid mask when I'm at work, just in the hallways etc. Just found out a guy I was talking to yesterday near my desk has to be tested. Lol my boss asked if I was wearing my mask. I'm like "no" I was sitting in my cubicle usually no one visits..... Watch in by next week they'll make me get tested....
