74Cs are gay....
Oh wait, I was a 74 Chuck. Good MOS if you can work in the BASESTA.... bad MOS if you are stuck in the Message Center.
Maas, I haven't forgotten you. I need to link up with my contact. He's out of town workinig on a commo contract for the state of FL.

Doesn't 20th Group have a motto?

Commo Geek:
Seems like everyone I met in the comm detachment says that. Course nobody told me before i signed the contract......
Its all good though, the only two slots in the unit open when I went in were that and admin specialist, so it coulda been worse.

Motto
Looking at my coin, I do not see one. The only thing that I ever heard that resembled a motto was to call the 20th the "Redneck Mafia."
If you are in FL, you heard "F*** Group" more than once or maybe "F*** Birmingham".
How about "The training schedule has changed"?
Scotts, at one time 2/20 had a Somalia vet that is mentioned in the BHD book working there in the Med section. Don't know where he went to. Next drill look for the guy with the USASOC combat patch.
74C is what you make of it. It was the only available commo MOS when I joined. I learned everything that I could about HF and SATCOM to escape the message center. It payed off. Given the equipment that is arriving and your desire to go to the Q, learn all that you can. If you can work in the Base Station, that will make you a better 18E if you go that route.

I too have never heard of a group motto. Searched around on the web and couldn't find anything. Next drill is a couple of weeks away, when I go i'll ask around.
Commo Geek:
I'll look for the guy you're talking about.
Also, thanks for the advice, its very much appreciated.

LOL at NDD.....
Scotts, if you have any questions, I'll do what I can to help out. I'm removed from 3/20 by several years, but I'm too young for Alzheimers.
