*Started my Airborne Career in 3/51 as an Airborne Ranger in the 14th Ranger Infantry Co. (Abn.) Served in Korea 1951-'52 A Co. 27th Regt. (Wolfhound), 25th ID

Served with HQ 17th SFG(A) June 1961 to when it was deactivated at Ft. Lawton, WA. (Don't remember the year.)

Served with 12th SFG(A) after deactivation of 17th SFGA at Ft. Lawton, WA and Sandpoint NAS until 1974. ODA 322, Co. B, 3rd BN, 12th SFG(A).

* Actually, I guess you could say I started in 1948, in Japan, when the 1st Cavalry Division sent a bunch of us up to the 11th ID (Abn.) to go to glider school. We learned all about gliders (Tying all kinds of knots.) and had to ride in them! We did get our glider wings though!
