Speaking of burying...
It was only a matter of time.

VERY STRANGE, MUKOWSKI VOTES PRESENT FOR THE KAVANAUGH CONFIRMATION VOTE TO Allow Sen. Daines of Mont. to attend daughters wedding. Looks like some kind of deal was made so Daines could go to Montana for the wedding. IN MY OPINION SEN. DAINES DUTY WAS TO BE IN WASH. DC TO VOTE....THERE ARE PLENTY OF TIMES U S MILITARY PERSONAL ARE DEPLOYED AND CAN NOT ATTEND FUNCTIONS LIKE WEDDINGS AND FUNERALS. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FOR ME WAS MY SISTERS WEDDING IN 1964 AND I WAS IN PRE-DEPLOYMENT TNG. FOR VIETNAM. I DID NOT EVEN CONSIDER ASKING FOR LEAVE, 3 DAY PASSES WERE OFF THE TABLE LET ALONE 10 DAY LEAVE.

Definitely a deal was made. I read that originally the Senate would delay the start of the vote until Daines returned from the wedding long enough to vote, and that Mukowski was attending the wedding as well.
Good result either way.

It'll be interesting to see how the current 2-fer plays out, since he now gets to put forth someone to fill Kavanaugh's seat on the DC Circuit, which is a Yuuuuge filter to many of the cases that get decided that eventually make their way to SCOTUS.

What I read today was that Joe Scarborough, MSNBC darling, was calling for an investigation into who leaked the Ford letter, starting with DiFi's office. Many of them are uncomfortable with making a decision to continue swearing unswerving allegiance to The Party, or pander to the women shrieking at them in interviews, the conduct & availability of which are their dinner tab.
Gotta go do a little PT, can't sit around eating Schadenfreude pie all the time.

I was a bit surprised at the lack of outrage from the left against the democrat politicians for forcing Ford into the national spotlight for political leverage and gaming.
Then I realized it's all about furthering the idealism at all costs....
