‘Bama Goes Blue

For the first time in nearly 36-years (since the Grand Masters of the KKK left town) Alabama elects a Democrat to represent them in the Senate.

Montgomery goes the way of Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland.

Buh Bye...!

Jones beats Moore.

Wonder how fast those women disappear back into the tranquility and silence they enjoyed for 40-years? Nobody including Sen’s Gillibrand and Warner will care $0.02 for what happened (if anything did) to them now.

Check out this article from USA TODAY:

Democrat Doug Jones wins stunning upset victory in Alabama Senate race

"stunning"

I do not think it means what USA Today thinks it means

...less than a single percentage point against a guy who has been fighting accusations of being a cradle robber and a bigot. A guy who couldn't even get the full support of his own political party and he lost by less than a percentage point.

Roy Moore should have been DESTROYED by his opponent. The results should have been an absolute disgrace. I would have been stunned to see Roy Moore win.

"stunning" victory

The liberal media has a horrible grasp of English vocabulary. Just like it was "inconceivable" that hrc would lose to Donald Trump...
...inconceivable

^^^eggzactly!

Moore should have been “marginalized” in the vote to a few bible humping gun hugging rednecks and people who still fly the Confederate flag from their trucks.

So after the announcement how many interstate highways were shutdown and how many windows were broken in major Alabama cities by angry republican voters? Is there any truth to the rumors of Russian collusion in order to sway the vote?

I get the feeling Mitch will be the Senate minority leader shortly and he’ll go back to being irrelevant. When the Dems pick a senate majority leader or a speaker of the house they pick hard core liberals who will go down swinging while pushing their agenda. When the republicans pick theirs they pick spineless pussies like MCConnell and Ryan who run from every fight.

If they hold the house and the senate at that point they can effectively neuter him. He doesn’t have a base like his boss. His bully pulpit would likely have no weight. Also they would likely vote down any replacement pick for Vice President leaving the Speaker next in line in succession. They could then cause enough damage to him and his candidacy that he wouldn’t win the next general. The one thing I admire about the libs is that they always play the long game. It’s not just about getting what they want now but they’re looking to change the way this country looks 20 years down the road. Look at how social security and Medicare has changed everything in this country. Once you give people stuff they don’t want to give it back even if it means financial ruin.

Time to start sending honey pots to visit every likely democratic candidate for president. Beat the bastards at their own game.

My sentiments exactly. All you have to do these days to topple anyone in the public eye is print a story "someone, somewhere, said that they heard such and such touched a woman inappropriately back in the day" and bam!

It's too easy. But, it makes me wonder who all these hollywierd types that are being castigated for past sins pissed off. In the grand scheme of things, who cared who Ben Afleck molested or groped or licked 10 years ago?

Nick Saban played spoiler.

Democratic operatives started a campaign to write in Nick Saban and the total write in votes were more than the margin of victory.
