SAS Females, in the air...
Day-Ja-View,, all over again...

SAS could change selection test to make it easier for female recruits
Martin Evans, 3 December 2017 • 11:54am
The SAS is considering adapting its gruelling selection test to give women a better chance of succeeding, according to reports. The elite special forces unit is thought to be looking at plans to make one of its trademark recruitment exercises easier for female candidates to complete
Soldiers hoping to join the Special Air Service and its sister regiment, the Special Boat Service (SBS), currently have to pass an initial physical test, which involves carrying heavy rucksacks over a series of long marches across mountainous terrain.
But according to reports, the SAS is considering allowing female recruits to carry lighter loads and giving them more time to complete the test.
The suggestion comes after the government said it wanted to see all close combat units in the British military open to women by 2019.
It is felt that the marching tests are unfairly discriminating against women who may have the attributes needed to succeed as SAS soldiers.
But there is understood to be concern among current members of the SAS that any changes to the recruitment process could lead to a lowering of standards across the unit.
Soldiers from any unit in the British Army can apply to join the SAS and SBS, but traditionally has recruited heavily from the Parachute Regiment and Royal Marines.

Let's say the female candidate has lower weight requirement for her ruck and longer time to complete the march and somehow manages to complete SAS training to become a team member.
Her team is out on a mission and has to haul ass across the terrain to evade capture or being killed. Is the rest of her team required to run slower so she isn't left behind because she cannot keep up with the men during a mission?
Why is it so difficult for women and politicians as a group to accept that they are not men and cannot perform certain tasks at the same level? They would rather women have the "equal" opportunity to be a part of an elite warrior class and get everyone killed than to simply tell women if they want to be equal it requires equal levels of performance.
Otherwise, let them form female only SAS teams who can all run equally slow from harms way under their lightened packs.

liberals simply do not get it
do you want to aggravate an air of disrespect in the work place?
...allow people to work from different standards
let your team mate score 100 on a test for not doing as well as you did - but then lose a promotion to that team mate because the team mate scored a 100 and YOU only scored a 96
let someone "lead" troops that cannot meet the same standard as those being led
...then wonder why there is a growing hostility towards women in the workplace
lets just continue to pretend that everyone is the same - its working great

Well, woman and men are not the same; period. Like I stated on other posts about this subject of "lowering standards" for women to make the grade is total BS. Sorry, but we are not equal in a lot of faucets in life, including our body makeup, mechanics, how we think, physically, and our reasoning to name a few. If you intend to prove that you could actually pass the strenuous testing it takes to be an elite SAS or SF member; then you need to follow the same rules and under the same circumstances.
Either you make it, or you do not. It takes a special person with those unique abilities to achieve this high standard, and once you “take it down” a notch then it is due to failure. To be “Equal” means that you are able to meet a challenge on the same terms, and match capabilities that are placed before you without weakening the field. I know I could not pass that test as a woman, even if I were (cough, cough) 25 years younger. And why would I want to jeopardize my teammates if I am the “weak link”? Someone always has to bring this up, “Oh, I am a woman hear me Roar”…..Stop, that is only when we are PMS’ing…..Women Libbers, “We can do anything a man can do”…NA…I would like to see us be able to pee in that little hole in a plastic drink container; it ain’t going to happen unless you want a mess…..

22 SAS Now Defending Socialists/Communists
"But according to reports, the SAS is considering allowing female recruits to carry lighter loads and giving them more time to complete the test."
Who cares?
Britain is lost already and is now headed toward full blown communism. Be good to have females in the 22 SAS when they bust down internet "hate speech abusers" doors and take them prisoner.

No longer true - the Army issues a Female Urinary Diversion Device to female soldiers so they can go wee-wee without having to pull their pants down.
I saw one in use in Afghanistan several years ago by a female MP.
She walked around the far side of the truck, and when she was done she came back around the front, holding it in her hand/shaking it dry...
...she saw the confused look of "what in the fuck did I just see" on my face and she said, "Its my Army issued penis" - she then put in back into a ziplock bag and stuck in back into her cargo pocket.
