Hello out there. Was turned on to this forum by Baghdad Razor, whom I put on a UH60 somewhere in RC-East this past August. I'm here to watch and gain insight as I continue my quest to improve myself.. and do something worthwhile.

I'm 25, currently a part of 'The Rock' - 2/503, and headed (back) to Bragg very shortly. I appreciate the opportunity to watch and learn.

intro

Thanks To all who serve. Well I am awisewon a Honorably discharged Marine I am from a family of those who served in silence for a number of Generations. I am Retired I am also disabled that was due to exposure of a unknown poison while on a job. I to live in mostly silence and have so many years and keep my life and families life real private. I thank all those that served dearly as does my entire family. I am a no nonsense type person I have vast interest and skills. I do currently battle several serious illness and am more than lucky to still be alive a few times over there is no cure. My family and I live with the fact I am a dead man still walking.I am at off the charts high risk of sudden death. I do at times have vision problems sometimes worse than other as a result of the strokes. I try to Battle my illnesses and extend my life, provide for and enjoy my family as best I can. I have done this intro when I first became a member on these boards. I guess some members feel because I have not posted on here on a regular basis I must intro each time sorry I didn't see that in the rules but alright. I do not use the boards on a regular basis at times I might depends what I have going on or what issues are of interest. I have a strong sense of morals God and Country. Other than that not much more to be said.

Intro post

Hey all, I'm Agmundr. Currently on Recruiting duty in the SoCal BN, 11B getting ready to go to SFAS. Finished my physical today as well as took record APFT, sending it to the SF Recruiters at Lewis tomorrow for further guidance.

I found this site through the Get Selected! book. In case the author sees this post, thanks for providing a great wealth of knowledge. I have put three 18X contracts in, and the first one just got Selected for 18C a couple of months ago. He is one of two that used the book to prepare, hopefully the other makes it as well (which I believe he will, the guy's a beast).

Thank you to all of the experienced members who have posted on this board; I've been perusing the threads for a few weeks now and have found the knowledge base invaluable.

Introduction

Hello Gentlemen,

First,
I have been staying up to speed with the forums for about a year now and the information is outstanding . Thanks to all who have dedicated their time to make this a resource for us tracking pipeline and those in the community.

I am currently CAARNG member and Combat Engineer PL out of SOCAL. Currently assigned to A CO 79th BSTB. I have been prior enlisted with the 1/140th as a 15P(Aviation Ops Specialist) out of Los Alamitos. I am currently trying to get myself up to speed to pursue the pipeline in the Guard for the 19th SFG. My time to train up is about 2-3 maybe 4 before I am eligible . So no excuses there plenty of time to prepare. Any advice and words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. I want to be the best I can be and an asset to wherever I end up .

Hello, I'm Ron. First, thanks to all who have served/are serving. I hope to join you in the future! I'm 17 years old, with the plan of getting an 18X contract after I graduate from college while on a medical waiver.

Reaper,
I had a good time out there. It was great to meet Chris and Bill at the booth. I got a call today about a Yarborough knife for sale at a local pawn shop. Couldn't find the owner listed but still looking to see if he is still in. If he is there will be a call to his CSM. If he isn't still in it is probably better for the Regiment that he isn't.

Morning everybody,

Names Gunter, currently a college student that's planning on enlisting with an 18x contract in the near future. Not sure if I want to finish up another year and half of college first or if I want to dive right into it.

Did Air Force ROTC for all the wrong reasons, one being that my parents didn't want me to go enlisted, and another being my parents wanted me to go Air Force because they get "treated the best". Anyways, got an E.A. slot for field training and decided to turn it down because it wasn't where my passions were. While my buddies in ROTC wanted more of a management or administrative job, I had more of a desire to get my hands and feet dirty, in a figurative and literal sense.

Pops was in special operations himself, 2nd ranger battalion, and as much as he tried deterring me from going down that route, I feel as though it's in my blood and I got the drive to do it.

Came to this website through some random google searches and found some good information on how to up my PT regimen more. Competed in powerlifting and martial arts in college, though my cardio is lacking a bit. Great website and sorry for the lengthy intro.

REMINDER - This forum isn't a chat room - you can use the PM function if you want to try and be 'witty' with somebody around here. Richard

Hello all

Hello,
I am 31 years old,I emmigrated to this great country late 2011 from Ireland where I lived all my life.I served 9 years in the army in Ireland. Currently just finished OSUT in Benning as 18x which I was lucky enough to pick up in basic and I became a US citizen recently.Despite having recent experience in the military soldiering in the US is a different animal altogether so still a steep learning curve. This site has been a huge help so far.
Thanks to everyone for their hard work.

Reintroduction

Hello,

My first introduction was back in 05. I was turned back on to the forum by a former team member sharing the current SF 2nd Amendment efforts. Former 18E served in B 1/3.

God bless our warriors. I grew up with a deep appreciation of the United States and our history. Couldn't wait to join USMC in 1968. Serving as an infantry Pvt. in Vietnam was an eye opener. US Army ROTC Infantry commission in 1976. Again opened my eyes on a lot of things. Glutton for punishment and became a police officer in 1979, and again it was an eye opener. Disabled in 2002 for PTSD and now I don't open my eyes, I just grit my teeth and jump right in. It's the journey, not the destination.
