New UK Army Recruiting Campaign
Found on several sites, including these links to the advertising company responsible for the UK Army Recruiting Campaign.
Not everyone in the world's armies is the PEW PEW type. The ratio of shooters to staff/support can be as high as 1 in 10.
SO, I guess this is a valid attempt to help parents empty their millennials out of the cellar?
Quote:
The British Army’s new 2019 recruitment campaign is targeting snowflakes, millennials, binge gamers, and selfie addicts and the armed forces continue their drive to attract recruits from unconventional parts of society.
The new posters, which echo the famous Lord Kitchener recruitment poster of 1914 but no longer appealing to “Britons” have been launched along with a video campaign intending to highlight the oft-criticised flaws of young people and twist them as qualities the military might appreciate.
So-called “phone zombies” are praised for having focus, while “binge gamers” are said to possess drive. Other qualities the Army picks out in the new campaign by UK advertising firm Karmarama — who boast of being “the UK’s most progressive creative agency” — are the self-belief apparently possessed by millennials and the compassion of “snowflakes”.

to paraphrase Emma Lazarus, "The New Colossus"
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips.
"Give me your tired cellar children with their degrees in basket weaving,
your poor X-Box generation with no socially redeeming value,
your huddled masses of Snowflakes from your basement hovels
yearning to breathe free,
The wretched millennials refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homebound, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door job fair!
The UK Army, be anything you want but can't attain"

Looking for fodder...
or a social program?
Edit:
Perhaps my reaction to the posters was on the cynical side. Britain is smaller scale and many like myself probably have/had limited exposure to the Military... some will take, contribute, and advocate for their Military...that can’t be a bad thing.

dont laugh... the US Army is balls deep in their recruiting efforts for the eSports program so they can recruit gamers to compete in Call of Duty and FortNite competitions.
