Well, this happened last night.

This happened pretty much outside our highway gate:

https://tucson.com/news/local/3-moto...8ed035ea3.html

I checked it out in the daylight and there was only one passenger vehicle brake mark, no motorcycle. This is a long stretch of highway that all vehicles, especially motorcycles, often speed on. News stories have been conflicting, but it was bad.

Sad. I can see it happening. TDY partner & I were out exploring once right along that road and got smoked by people passing us like we were parked. I remember thinking "damn, at least in Germany the guy'd give me some high beams a 1/2 km back..."

Damn.. been too many motorcycle memorials in the area lately... :/

And yeah, I don't care too much for that route. Had a small SUV pass me in a no-passing lane coming back from Bisbee and almost hit two other SUVs in front of us.

Westbound, from Bisbee, it's deceptively straight and flat. While it is mostly straight, there are subtle hills that look flat and it's easy to think you can ignore the no passing lines. Eastbound it's more obvious. Plus, the road suddenly doglegs near the river westbound. I'm surprised more scooters haven't catapulted into the riparian brush.
